Along with the "Parsonage Purge of '09," comes an effort to get off that last 25 pounds. After our second daughter was born, I lost a whopping 50 pounds. It all stayed off for almost a year, until I stopped nursing. Then, before I knew it, about 15 had crept back on. Funny how the "nursing diet" of eating whatever you want, whenever you want doesn't really work when you're no longer a food source. That bowl of ice cream @ 11pm finds its way to your hips faster than you can fill a sippy cup. My weight has been something I have struggled with since I was a teenager. Couple that with the fact that I LOVE to cook, and don't make time for myself to exercise, it definitely makes for a battle..
One of my favorite shows is The Biggest Loser. I am so inspired by the transformations that take place, both inwardly, and outwardly with these contestants. Right now I am dead even(weight wise) with one of the female contestants. I am going to see if I can get the forst 15 off by the end of the season in May.
So I would love your prayers as I embark on this journey to get the last of the weight off. I want to throw off what hinders me, and quite frankly, the weight hinders me in many ways. I don't want to be held back by it anymore. I want to someday run a 5k, and maybe even a 10k and someday a halfmarathon, if my knees will let me.
No more excuses. Time to get this temple into shape!

I'm with you on this one. UGH! I went on an "all natural" diet for lent. I only eat natural foods - no preservatives or additives, etc... It's similar to the "Daniel Diet" that you can research online. I've been happy with following this plan. I've done LOTS of research on food lately. Let me know if you want more info!
What did you think of the trainer "shake-up" this week on Loser? I LOVE that show too!
What an inspiring post! I hear ya on the nursing diet. Your drive, efforts and willpower will be the first step into this new lifestyle change. I can only wish you the best!
