One of the blogs I love to read is "Kelly's Korner." She is a true Southern girl, and she loves Jesus, and that little Harper is just precious!
She started Show Us Where You Live Friday - so I thought I would jump in on this.
This week's feature is the kitchen.
Here you have it, the parsonage kitchen. Which I admit - was taken just after I cleaned it "The House That Cleans Itself" style.
Our kitchen has WHITE. Lots of White. While it looks crisp and clean, I would love to have some ideas about how to add some color here and there. Directly to the right in the picture is our kitchen door that goes out into the carport/covered patio area. Directly to the left is what appears in the second photo.

"Show Us Where You Live Friday"
Love my red cookbook stand. I love cookbooks, and the one on the stand is one I use a lot. The church purchased the new stove and fridge for us when we moved in last January.
If I can get the kitchen table cleaned off tonight, you can see the dining area of the kitchen. That's a big if. It's been a day.
I'd love to hear your suggestions about adding some color to our kitchen.

Hi! I follow the blog "Southern Hospitality" and she recently did a post on a lady who painted her cabinets aqua. (Just the bottome cabinets and had the top white). I LOVED the outcome. You should check it out!

You should check out Rhoda's "Southern Hospitality" blog...she has some great ideas. I think it's http://southernhospitatlity-rhoda.blogspot.com, but there is also a link on my blog.
Just because I like black, that would probably be the color I would add to all your white, with maybe punches of another color you like. I love the combination of white and black. It's classic and crisp. Good luck with your decorating, be sure to keep us updated!
Blessings,

Does your oven have a little handle where you can hang a cute hand towel on? If not, Bed Bath and Beyond has these ones that stick on to your dishwasher of other large appliance and you can get a real nice thick handtowel with your maroon color from the valance in it and there's some color. Also, I'd swing by Michael's and get a small pot that you love with that green foam for fake plants and some pretty greenery that you like, stick it in there and put it back where your knives are, in a corner where eyes will be drawn to it. Maybe the knives could be moved to the top of the fridge or an upper cabinet? Also, a family picture in a brightly colored frame next to the oven or coffee pot is great for color too! Your kitchen is so clean!!!
You could always get some brightly colored vases, plates to have on display, or a teapot. I don't think I would ever use a teapot but after seeing some of the cute ones in these kitchen, I'm thinking about getting one!
